After serving a 5 year prison stint, Kevin Vincent is determined to provide a better life for his fiancé and daughter. Now an up and coming rapper, he is on his way to stardom; that is, until he finds himself in an altercation with a police officer which ends in tragedy. The country, already weary of racial tension, is once again left divided as to whether or not this latest incident was justifiable or excessive.
